Self-Development is a dead end.
Understand that the primary purpose of self-development is to get people to stop consuming it.

You not getting views on your channel is not necessarily an indication that your videos are not creating an impact. Sadly this is a metric that most people use to measure their success on online platforms, including myself. Sometimes all you need is one person. What exactly defines self-development? To me, having a healthier mindset due to embarking on this journey of improving yourself means a couple of things.
1: You lower your screen time on your devices.
Modern society is a slave to electronic devices. Studies have shown they have decreased postural hygiene, increased eye discomfort and headaches, and not to mention the constant comparison of ourselves to others which increases rates of anxiety and depression. It was only after multiple years of being used to always checking my phone, I noticed the effects on the quality of my sleep, my constant phone checking and wasting my precious time to be productive on actual work. It’s only until you rid yourself of the electronic addiction that you can truly start to appreciate real life and start to live more present. You start to cherish small moments after constantly chasing dopamine hits day after day. You can actually listen to conversations around you and show genuine interest to your relationships.
2: Your general knowledge on life expands.
This is because you are now picking up books, it doesn’t matter what topic, the important thing here is that you are picking up the habit of doing “boring” stuff. Eventually, boring stuff like reading a book stats to actually feel good, and you can apply real knowledge into your daily life. Maybe make quicker growth in your job, or start a business. Learn about exercise and nutrition so you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a personal trainer and nutritionist. Learn about mental health in order to stop your constant anxiety and worrying about the future, or learn to heal your past experiences which prevent you from taking courageous decisions.
There’s a popular trend to start self-development Youtube channels and communities lately, and I’m all in favor of it since I believe that today’s upcoming generations need it now more than ever. Men are more fragile than ever before and spend most of their time indoors playing video games and masturbating to porn, creating un-real expectations of what real relationships look like, which causes them to be afraid to walk up to girls they like and initiate conversation. They create scenarios in their head comparing what they see on their screens thinking girls will just magically fall into their laps. Men are either too lazy or lack the proper knowledge to have a balanced meal plan in order to take care of their body and their mind, which leads to obesity, lack of energy, body insecurities and a plethora of other negative effects of these habits. Luckily, these channels are intended to address these issues, but only for a limited amount of time. It’s only a matter of time before someone actually changes their life and ceases to watch self-development content because they no longer have any need for it. So you lose views and subscribers, which is what you wanted to gain in the first place in order to spark your entrepreneurial journey and make a couple of bucks on the side.
This means that people will not spend as much time watching your videos and consuming your content. Figure out how to branch out into other things, like writing. At a certain point, everything becomes very repetitive, you start regurgitating the same speech over and over again. Never try to be someone, but use their frameworks to figure out how to operate your channel / content. Self-development is a dead end, once you accept it you can only not only make your peace with it and operate from a space of mental clarity, but you can also open the door to other potential opportunities because you’re not addressing your ego towards it. You never know what type of impact you’ve already made on other people. Your impact is not quantifiable through numbers, that is how you have to approach making content to provide value. If your primary goal is to just be as successful and rich as you can, doing self-development videos is not the way.
There are a lot of ways in which you can integrate value.
Write.
Cultivate an abundance mindset within your tribe.
Project your passions unto others.
Make entrepreneurial / artistic content.
Remember that doing things out of passion and joy is always going to outweigh the satisfaction of earning money or having thousands of subscribers. If this is your main goal, you are just as likely to suffer from anxiety and depression as someone who hates their job. Figure out a way to add value to your community and slowly start to systemize ways in which you can exchange your value for their money.
